Jeuveau/Botox/Dysport are three FDA approved injectable medical treatments, called neuromodulators. These work to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, frown lines, crow's feet, and forehead lines and much more.
Repeated muscle contractions from squinting, raising eyebrows, and frowning cause your skin to fold, resulting in facial lines and wrinkles. Neuromodulators work by temporarily blocking the nerve impulses that cause your facial muscles to contract and form lines and wrinkles.

The injection feels like a brief small pinch. We can apply ice and a vibration anesthesia device to reduce any discomfort. Most clients don't describe it as painful.
The treatment itself will take under one hour. You will start to notice the effects of the treatment within a few days, with full effect noticed at two weeks.
The effects will typically last 3-4 months.
This will depend on the quality of skin and the number of areas treated. We will discuss this and provide recommendations for you during your consultation.
Redness, swelling, and bruising are the most common side effects which are typically short lived. We can discuss all potential side effects during your consultation to make sure you make the right decision for yourself.
Botox Neuromodulars should not be used if you have an active infection at the site to be treated, or if you have a known allergy to an ingredient in the Botox formulation. Clients who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding are contraindicated for treatment as well as clients with neuromuscular disorders such as ALS, Myasthenia Gravis or Lambert-Eaton Syndrome. We will make sure that it is safe to proceed with Botox treatment during your consultation.
Aftercare is simple and will be discussed during your consultation. Following your treatment, you will be provided with an aftercare sheet for your convenience. Typically, we recommend avoiding any environment that may cause your skin to "redden" such as tanning, alcohol, or strenuous exercise. These activities may decrease Botox effectiveness by increasing blood flow to the face and can wash out the product before it has a chance to take full effect.
